Evolutionary AI Coding Agents
zoo.foo develops genetic and swarm-based agent systems that generate, test, and evolve software autonomously.
Agents compete. The codebase improves.

Not a Single Agent. A Population.
While most AI coding tools rely on a single model generating one solution at a time, zoo.foo deploys entire populations of specialized agents working in parallel. This multi-agent architecture mirrors biological evolution—where diversity drives adaptation and competition accelerates improvement.
Each agent generates a candidate solution. A fitness function evaluates correctness, performance, and adherence to requirements. Only the fittest survive to the next generation.
Instead of sequential prompts, we run many agents in parallel. Each explores different paths. The population converges on working solutions faster than any single-threaded approach.
Between generations, agents mutate: varying parameters, restructuring logic, or hybridizing successful traits. Controlled randomness introduces innovations no human would try.
Strict benchmarks define survival. Code that fails tests, runs slowly, or drifts from spec is eliminated. Only the strongest implementations persist.

Built on Evolutionary Computation
zoo.foo applies evolutionary computation to autonomous code generation. Genetic algorithms, multi-agent systems, and deterministic benchmarking converge to produce software that improves itself.

Built for Machines First
Traditional software development optimizes for human comprehension. We take a different approach: our systems prioritize machine-readable structures that autonomous agents can parse, modify, and improve without human intervention.
Machine-Readable First
Code structures optimized for automated parsing and modification. Clear boundaries, consistent patterns, deterministic outputs.
Testable by Design
Every component built with verification in mind. Automated test suites serve as fitness functions for evolutionary improvement.
Minimal Human Intervention
Systems designed to operate autonomously. Human oversight for direction, not execution.
Continuous Evolution
Software that improves itself. Each generation better than the last, driven by objective metrics.
This philosophy enables our evolutionary systems to iterate faster, catch errors earlier, and produce more reliable software than traditional human-centric development workflows.
